18.12 Find Files Modified During Specific Period
20200917
Suppose you know that you have created a
png file probably containing the string pakdd
in the filename, some time during August and September 2020, but can’t
remember where you put it.
The following find command will do a case insensitive
search (-iname
) for files with a newer modification time
(-newermt
) than the first of August and not newer
(!
) than the first of October, 2020. For each file that
matches display the output of the ls command using a long
ISO data format as specified with
--time-style=``long-iso
.
